Lakewood POA, Marion , N.C. 


In response to years of unequal and discriminatory services provided by the Lakewood POA Board of Directors, a group of citizens convened to explore potential resolutions. The initial step involved contacting the current board of directors to obtain explanations and, ideally, modifications to current practices. Regrettably, the outcome mirrored the previous instances, accompanied by broken promises and falsehoods.

Meeting Rules

Quorum

 

POA's formed after 1/1/99 are required to follow these meeting rules:
1. Quorum: If not in bylaws, 10% of the votes in person or by proxy at beginning (47F-3-109(a)) 

2.  If no Quorum then: Quorum halved at each continued meeting (47F-3-109(c))

3. Board Member Removal: Majority vote of members present and voting (47F-3-103(b))
